Take I-78 W to NJ-139 W in Jersey City, 13 min (3.2 mi)
Take NJ-17 N and I-87 N to U.S. 9 N in North Hudson, 3 h 55 min (255 mi)
Take exit 30 from I-87 N to 1794 NYS ROUTE 73, KEENE VALLEY, NY

The Trailways bus (7 to 7.5 hours) stops once per day at the Noon Mark Diner. Walk to the diner, buy tickets, and take the southbound trip at noon, the northbound form the Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York on 42nd St and 8th Avenue. 

Get someone to drive you an hour south to catch the early Greyhound from Warrensburg leaving at 7:15am for a 5 hour ride. 

Take Amtrak (6-7 hours) to/from Westport, Port Henry, or Lake Placid.

Drive 2.5 hours to the Albany/Rensselear Station at 525 East St in Rensselear (5 hours) and catch a train there. You can rent a car in Albany. 



In 2 hours, avoid the big I-87 border,  holidays, and rush hours. Check crossing wait times arriving to the US: Champlain (I-87) crossing. Alternative crossings worth the detour: Hemmingford and St.-Bernard-de-Lacolle 

2 hours by Greyhound bus to Plattsburgh, NY.
